Brody's grandparents found this beautiful poem for us and in case you didn't see it in the "comments" section, we'd like to share it with you:
THE CHOSEN ONES
I had a dream the other night. It came to me so clear.
I stood before the throne of God,afraid to come too near.
God said to me, "I hear your prayers. There are answers you can't find.
I brought you here to talk to me and help to ease your mind.
"I said,"Well, yes, God, I am upset...About my special one. This punishment is awfully harsh...Whatever have I done?"
God looked at me and shook his head, He said, "My Dear, you've got it wrong.
I sent this special child to you because you are so strong.
I searched and searched to try and find someone with a love so rare. Parents so unselfish they could give him that special care.
I try to save my special gifts, like those you're speaking of,for a special kind of parents I call the 'Chosen Ones.
'Of all the ones to choose from,I know I've got it done...Parents who deserve my best,an honor you have won." -Unknown

Joseph Smith had a vision of the Celestial kingdom that he recored:
And I also beheld that all children who die before they arrive at the years of accountability are saved in the celestial kingdom of heaven.

My prayers are with you guys.
Joss and Amie,
I've been reading daily of all the things going on with your family. I really didn't know what to say. It's all very heart breaking to know that he's not meant to stay on the earth long. And of course, it doesn't help you any for me to say someday you'll be with him again because right now you want him and know that you can't. When I try and put myself into your place with ANY of my children I just can't. You and Amie are very strong parents and have great faith. Heavenly Father is aware of your pain and suffering. He loves you both and your children. Keep praying that he will strengthen you and that whatever happens, you will be able to physically, spiritually, and emotionally keep going. You are in my continued prayers.

Amie,
What a beautiful poem, and how fitting. You and Joss are such strong and wonderful parents. You are blessed to be able to have sweet little Brody in your life, even if only for a little while. You know how quickly Brody can affect those around him...most of us at the hospital love him, even if they have only met him briefly. My heart breaks for you that you have these decisions to make and these things to endure, but I have faith in you and Joss. My thoughts are with you.
Try to enjoy the time you have with Brody. He is an angel, and there are not many who get to be an angel's mom. Happy Mother's Day, Amie.
Love,
Jami
