Great community, Awful Social Worker
Things have been going pretty well at home lately. Brody has been feeling really good. We all had a cold bug but it only lasted a few days and we're all doing better now. Brody was the least ill--thank heavens for those long-term antibiotics! Usually for Christmas money is tight and times are hard. This year is no different. But the outpouring of support from the community has made it special already. We are getting the 12 days of Christmas. The first night we got a tree with lights. We had Kaybri decorate it and Brody laid close by and watched. They were both loving it!!! It was great to see them happy! And the church called us to see if they could help out too. People are too good to us! ... On the not so fun side, we have been fighting with our Medicaid Social Worker like crazy. We usually deal with someone locally who is Fantastic but we had to work with Jeff through Primary's this time. I don't have one nice thing to say about the man. He tells us one thing and then does another. We got a call a couple weeks ago telling us our case was about to be closed for failure to provide info. I was never asked for info! We couldn't reach him so we went above his head and got things straightened out. The next day, Jeff calls to request info. Instead of the usual 10 days, he gives me 4. I rushed to get it all done in time but I did it! Then we got a letter yesterday stating that our case has officially been closed because the info was never received. This leaves us with about 400K. Needless to say, we are filing for an appeal hearing. I refuse to go down without a fight!

Well, I am glad to hear that Brody is doing well, although I do miss Kaybri's smiling face at Lori's. Hold your head up...at least the hopitals take payments. We will be paying on Hagen for a few years I am sure. If I don't see you (or the kids) before Christmas, they have a little treat bag from Hagen at Lori's. Well keep smiling and have a Merry Christmas!
Oh man guys- that stinks. I can guess that the last thing you want to do is make a lifetime payment to Primary's. I really hope everything works out-- I'm glad to hear people are helping out. That is so awesome. We hope you guys are doing well.
Love,
the Pearson's
